C-Card
|
|
The C-card is a confidential service which runs throughout Torbay. It enables you to get free condoms, lubricant, as well as sexual health information and advice.
The service is available to anyone aged 13-24 years old. You need to be registered to the scheme before you can start using your card, but once you have registered you can pick up condoms from over 60 different locations throughout Torbay. |
How do I get a C-card?
To get a C-card you need to register to scheme. This involves having a safer sex conversation with a qualified worker. The C-card worker will need to ask a few questions for their records but the whole process will be explained to you. You will not be judged and the workers are there to support you.
Registration will take no longer than 15 minutes. During registration you will be given information about safer and more effective use of condoms, as well as advice on what to do if any problems occur such as a condom splitting.
Before signing up to c-card it is worth thinking about if you are Ready or Not?
-
You feel you could say no if you wanted to
-
You can have fun together without having to have sex
-
You are not being pushed or bribed into having sex
-
You want it for yourself, not for the other person or to fit in with friends
-
You have agreed to use condoms and contraception, and you know why they are important
-
You may be excited or nervous, but not afraid
-
You have both agreed whether or not to tell your friends afterwards
